What the Trust is...
The Pioneer Heritage Conservation Trust is a Foundation centered in Western Minnesota to help ensure that future generations will inherit the land as it was left to us. The purpose of the Trust is to promote the stewardship of the land and associated resources.
How the Trust works...
From funds contributed through membership fees, gifts, memorials, and bequests, a board of directors guides the trust in a program of long-term investments. Only earnings from these investments are spent on conservation work to promote the long-term well-being of the land in harmony with all living things.
The Trust serves Otter Tail, Grant, Douglas, and Pope Counties.
Earnings from your tax deductable contribution will be used to fund conservation projects through grants for:
- Educational Programs for schools and other educational organizations.
- Cooperative conservation programs with farm groups and sportsman's clubs.
- Financial assistance for farmers and other landowners for specific conservation projects.
- Grants to students for further education in resource management and conservation sciences.
